A Good Man in Africa

I bought this because I watched the movie version (as a kid) that Sean Connery stars in. I remember loving it a lot and when I saw this book on sale, I had to get it. I had also just read Dance of the Jakaranda which was set in the Colonial era in East Africa so with this set in West Africa, it kinda felt like they were connected from a world building perspective.

Overall, I enjoyed this book and loved how messy, funny, uncomfortable it was at times. I personally loved how everyone looks ridiculous in this world, and a good reminder that ridiculous people still get to make decisions that can potentially harm everybody else. Really good book.
